How We Work
Every engagement begins with a conversation — about what the collector is drawn to, what they already have, what they want to build, and what they've learned from prior acquisitions. There is no agenda, no pitch. The goal is genuine understanding.
We define the scope of our work together — advisory retainer, project-based acquisition, collection review, or a combination. Fees are discussed plainly. We do not accept commissions from sellers; our compensation is structured entirely around the collector's interest.
We research the market, monitor upcoming sales and gallery programming, and identify works that warrant the collector's attention. We present these with our assessment — not every work that is available is a work worth having.
When a work merits serious consideration, we conduct thorough due diligence — condition, provenance, market history, comparable sales — before any offer is made. We negotiate, manage the transaction, and coordinate transport, insurance, and installation.
A collection is a living thing. We remain available for collection reviews, insurance updates, conservation questions, and the disposition of works as the collection evolves. Our most enduring relationships are with collectors we have worked with across years and multiple cycles.
